LIFE’S LAST BARTER

Writer: tenbrunsel2tenbrunsel2

Life’s last barter,

Be a month or so away.

Yet that carafe to barter,

May come handy any day.

We live life’s gift

In a frivolous,

Frivolous sort of way,

Playing to our dis and likes

As though there weren’t,

Eternity.

Now, you, count your blessings,

Count them every day,

Live life,

Love and celebrate,

Don’t fritter it away,

For the living God

That made you,

On that elusive last day,

Gives you one more chance

To barter,

Eternity away.

Author’s Note: Are you ready? Are you prepared? Don’t fritter it away. Check in with Jesus. He’ll show you the way and hand you your eternal passport, “step this Way.”
