Ruth Stout NO DIG, NO WEED, NO WATER, NO FUSS Garden - waaay too much fun! Easy!  In the Fall, just lay down cardboard, then straw, real thick, where you want the garden. Then  plant in the spring, potatoes, onions, squash, yams, whatever.
