Arthur’s Note: Carl Sandburg was inspired by the Japanese haiku poetry. Sandburg said he wrote the poem, “Fog,” with the intention of creating an American haiku. We are both eclectic in style. I write my haiku with the intention of creating a Mountain Haiku.
