I’m aware
Of some thing
Some body
Some one
Watching me
In sleep
And the Spirit
Moves me
To rise
And share
For there’s not a moment
To spare
The clock never
Stops ticking
The Spirit never sleeps

I speak poetry
Author’s Note:
I know nether when, if, or whether
I can write without the Spirit of Inspiration.
It’s why I pop up in dark night
Or rainy afternoon and write
Spontaneity is essential to the poet
Hours turn to minutes
Ideas flash in seconds
I simply cannot write a poem
if I must, if I must
Poems are spontaneous by nature
But get up! Git up
You sleepyhead go
Grab pen and go
Serendipity is in play
Write! Right?
Tho I oft’ know not from whence the words flow😳

Poet Laureate of serendipity
Author’s Notes: Write! Write everyday. Write something, anything. Just write. It’s therapeutic at best. Right?
Holy Crap! It just dawned on me. My 25 poems following this are absolutely creative winners! Every one. If one takes the time to savor the mood and circumstance of each. Wisdom sprinkled with staccato, artistic shape and form and subtle humor and anoccasional missspled word. The topics dare broached are broad. Love, Life (and imminent death) intertwined, combined to wake the soul and shake one’s perceived foundation.
