BANJO UKE©️

Steep me to the Canyon Fair

I wanna hear that banjo flare

Just

      One       One

            More     More

                   Time      Time🎶

((banjo solo lead in))

O ah’ hand me there my banjo uke

Play you a tickly tune

With a jug or two of kickapoo juice

A’howling at the moon

Hey! A hoe! Ya merry ole’ soul

Git down on them string

A plink, a plunk, a plinkty plunk

Make a little banjo scream

Hey a hoe you merry ole’ souls

Join in on my game

All git together now, 2-3-4

Sing our fav refrain

O ah hand me there my banjo uke

Play you a tickly tune

For one last taste ‘O that kickapoo juice

Just’a howling at the moon

For one more taste ‘O that Kickapoo Juice

Just’a howling at the moon!

((end with banjo tickle))

(alternate):

“Just’a see that Stallion run!*

See that stallion run

Just one more swig ‘O that Kickapoo Juice

Just’a see that Stallion run!

Brown Beauty! Brown Beauty!

Just’a see that Stallion run!”

Author’s Note: Coincidences do happen when Serendipity takes over. Met Graham Sharp and his wife at a baseball game not really by chance but serendipity took over and I wrote this poem/song late late that night. The banjo uke is my all time favorite instrument. Played it ALL my life. Played it on the front porch of 2212 just a plickety plunking, twanging and a strumming, wailing to my hearts delight. Now this!
