The other day
I lay down
On the cool spring- green grass
Garden nearby
And lying there I tried
No rush nor reason
I simply, decided
My darndest to die
Lying there
In the cool green grass
Seeing nothing but sky
I decided today,
Today’s a good day to die
After all I am in my lateies
A full life aft
Figured I was good enough
For a lifelong spring green nap.
Maby wake up tup there.
Laying there trying
Not much dying
Staring up the sky
Wap! Slap!
Outta nowhere
A hand found me lying
Lying there was I.
What thu?
The Guy said Godly,
“Get up fool
Get the golden rule
Ain’t yet your time to die
I decide when you come and go
And you got lot’s more
To do for Me before
You go.
So pick up on that shovel
And let’s us go
To that garden of anguish
Where I saved your poor soul.
Heaven can wait, guy
Hit just hain’t your time
Hit just hain’t your time
T’ die.”
By God!
It was God Himself
And with a pretty sobering slap
He’s got.
He sure got my attention!
I had thought nigh on
My work here done
I figured as much
Mights’ well die
I mean
Helping peeps,
Doing good work
Churching,
Volunteering, praying
Figured that’s enough
Of that stuff
Just saying.
Now was a good time to die
“Nope! Ain’t so
See’s I make the rules
You’ve done pretty good
But miles yet to go.”
So by God
You best pay attention
Next time you try to die
Check first with the Guy
Upstairs
By God he makes the rules!

Love it! I’ve tried to nap in the grass, just haven’t laid down to die! I’ll give it a try.
