In Memory of Bob Niehaus
Friday, July 1, 1940 - January 7, 2022
My “Cousin Niehaus,”
A legend passed away,
Today,
Gone before us,
To teach you and I ,
One more lesson in life,
The lesson,
How to die.
Death, be not proud,
For you have stole,
A soulmate,
from the crowd:
A kind man, a husband,
Children, a family,
Blessed with grandchildren,
Of him we all are proud.
Though gone,
Yet to be,
Long remembered,
His spirit rests with God,
Yet lingers in the souls,
Of the good souls,
That knew him well,
Here on Oz.
At peace,
At home,
Bob, watch over us.
Memories you take with you,
Memories left behind,
To continue to bless our journey.
Those memories on our mind.
Though body and soul go with Bob,
His spirit still remains,
In the hearts and depths of those close to Him,
Believe?
Just ask him,
A question now,
His spirit renewed in his refrain.
I shall remember,
My friend, Bob,
By his goodness,
And eternal smile,
His endless sense of humor,
And laughter beguiled,
His gut wrenchingly funny
Stories
And bear-
Hugs shared.
I am blessed,
That Bob and I,
Met along the way,
Let us Pray,
May the soul of this faithful departed,
Now,
In the hands of God,
Rest In Final Peace. Amen.

Happy Bday, Bob A
Today,
Silently,
A poem passed into existence
Honoring a man I once sat with
Telling old timers’ tales and myths.
No one told me of his memorial
As if I didn’t care,
But I did.
Anywhere’s I miss the old guy
The Big Guy.
You see
Me
Thee
We
We all remember him in our souls
They broke the mold
When They invented
Bob
Your Father, my Niehaus brother
Related?
Oh for sure.
So for one more time
For one more rhyme
Let us gather
And hold hands
ALL of us
As he would have wanted
Honoring the reason for your existence
The Big man
Niehaus.
Brother Tom
What saddens me is that guy brought…
