UPON BECOMING POETRY

Poetry is. The more I write poetry, the more I see, feel and live poetry. A dear woman jn one of my poetry workshops raised her hand and said! ”You speak in poetry. Your rhythm and rhyme, your pauses and inflections comes across as poetry to me.” It was an astute observation by a fellow poet. A compliment to me as I don’t try to speak poetry, but do. OK, I admit everything is poetry to me. Poetry envelops me. Poetry is the beginning of things, the basis of song. Once the poetic verse is written the score follows. Poetry, the medium underneath humor and comedy, depends on timely pause and delivery. Art begins with a poetic uberbase medium. Poetry in motion surrounds our existence. Some people have the gift of gab; I have the gift of poetic gab. I’ve become poetry. Everything I say everyday is poetry. In the beginning there was poetry. Poetry is in the air. Breathe.
