PINK SKIES

Younger,

I threw myself at “sailor take warning

With pink sky in the morning,”

And with ten footers,

In daring youth,

Happy in my Lake Michigan sluth.

But older now,

And quite at rest,

I think,

I know enough of stress,

To know that “pink skies at night”

Will suffice,

And are quite best.
