A perfect Union

We began as a perfect Union of unlike souls

And somewhere along the way to Nirvana

Something happened???

The world today seems different

Don’t you think?

What is happened

What is different

Why so suspicious of each other

So negative

Why so easy to snap

Where did we leave love and togetherness

Where the golden good neighborliness

The agreeing positiveness

Who what why when

How’d this come about?

Chance?

Planned?

Then by whom

The hyphen

We were a settled nation

Coming together

Joining up from the evil oppressions

Of centuries in Europe, Asia,Africa

Of ages

Stone

Middle Ages

World Wars

Nuclear???

Bickering, bickering between rich and poor

Or both

We were one

ONE

one nation under God

Till’

WHAT?

Then one day

You do your diligence

You decide WHO/WHEN

After centuries everyone else outside us noticed

Our SERENITY and oneness

Our Oneness had lifted us up to the

Best strongest group on earth

Outsiders began their dreadful caper

What “their” meanness had led us into,

Our cohesiveness

Our flawless organization

Our perfect yONENESS CONSTITUTION

One nation under God

With Liberty and Justice for all,

They attempted to steal

Our ONENESS

Thus enter

The HYPHEN
