I am working on my next book addressing the inevitable vanishing sovereignty of American Indians in conjunction with Native Nations Foundation. It is to be a timely publication of a serious problem in America. It will be a documentary, a collection of ideas, conclusions and plans that come out of the Tribal Counsel in the next year.
The book will look at the great sovereign American Indian Nation within the Great Nation of the United States. It will define sovereignty as the negotiated peace and consider the rights and wrongs of the BIA. It will compare the definition of American Indian across three hundred tribes. The book will discuss the problem of why the American Indian, once dominant on this land and soil, now faces extinction by its very own definition.
Who is an American Indian*? How does the American Indian define himself? What are the steps laid out by the Tribal Council to address the definition of American Indian and the now watered down bloodline through intermarriage? Is it sufficient enough to declare oneself as 1/25th American Indian? And what percent is next? How to protect and define sovereignty of The American Indian Nation. What plans are in place to solve the eroding bloodline issue? What tools are in place currently and what steps must be taken to preserve the Nation?
The status, contributions, accomplishments, tribal wealth and patriotism of the American Indian will be spelled out. The history, migration and treaties must be reexamined by a new America. Redefinition of bloodline must be considered. The separation of American Indian from the current global-political definition of Native American will be clarified in my book.
This project is funded by the Native Nations Foundation which is currently the research, verification and certification agency assigned to certify one’s American Indian status.
